For years, I felt stuck in the same cycle, believing that if I just tried harder, I’d be able to stay on track. But no matter how many times I promised myself this time will be different, I kept falling into the same pattern:

Overly restrictive eating ➡️ Followed by a binge ➡️ Followed by guilt & more restriction ➡️ Followed by another binge… you get it.

Fasting had always been my go-to for resetting—better digestion, reduced inflammation, improved sleep. But when I tapped into the mental clarity and emotional balance it provided, I realized pairing it with mindset shifts was where the real power was.

Instead of just using fasting as a way to hit reset, I saw it as an opportunity to step back and observe my impulses without reacting to them.

Over time, I realized fasting wasn’t just about weight loss—it was a way to create space between impulse and action. It helped me pause, reflect, and make more conscious choices around food. I learned that I didn’t have to obey every craving. I was stronger than I had believed.

About Nicki

Through fasting and mindset shifts, I help women over 40 take control of emotional eating, manage cravings, and lose weight in a SUSTAINABLE WAY!

My journey into health and fitness started over 20 years ago when my then-boyfriend introduced me to the gym. While the relationship didn’t last, my love for fitness did! Since then, I’ve done it all—personal training, group fitness coaching, health coaching, and gym management.

Despite looking “in shape,” my relationship with health wasn’t as balanced as it seemed.

I was obsessed with discipline. I tracked every calorie, never missed a workout, and prided myself on having “willpower.” But behind the scenes, I was constantly battling myself. I’d go from extreme restriction to full-blown binges in secret, then punish myself by being even stricter.

I felt like I was either “all in” or completely out of control.

I’d promise myself, This time will be different. But it never was. No matter how much I knew about fitness and nutrition, I couldn’t seem to stop sabotaging myself. And every time I fell off track, I felt weaker, more ashamed, and more hopeless.

I wasn’t struggling with food. I was struggling with control.

Eventually, I knew something had to change. I started studying habit change, mindset work, and the psychology of motivation. I learned that willpower is a limited resource, and that real change comes from understanding why we do what we do, not just forcing ourselves to be “better.”

Fasting became my breakthrough tool. Beyond the physical benefits—like weight loss, more energy, and improved digestion—it also gave me the ability to pause, reset, and observe my patterns without judgment.

I started noticing how fasting created a sense of calm—a mental clarity and emotional space I had never fully appreciated before. It wasn’t just about what I was eating (or not eating); it was about what I was noticing within myself during the process. This shift in focus led me to see fasting as more than just a quick reset—it became a daily practice that gave me the space to reflect, reset, and make conscious choices about my habits and emotions.

That’s when everything changed. I stopped relying on willpower and started relying on self-awareness.

This realization led me to become a coach. I got certified in Functional Nutrition Health Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Coaching (REBT), and Goal Success Coaching to help other women stop battling themselves and start creating real, lasting change.

I’m still on my own self-development journey (there is no destination), and I’ve learned that success isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. Challenges will always come, but with the right mindset and tools, we can navigate them with confidence.
